Testimonials
Exploring the Piemonte region with Nicola was such an amazing experience. Everything was perfectly curated – from the wine to the last bit of dolci. Staying in a castle and live with the owners of Pallazasso, exploring the history of the house made me feel like an old friend – this was something else. Also spending 5 days with a group of people who are similar interested in culinary, art, history and do love and enjoy the Dolce Vita Lifestyle was wonderful. We made new friends and expanded our horizon. Although I have been visited the Piedmonte area before, seeing it through the eyes of a local and having Nicolas expertise is just very special and unique. My most favorite part were the cocktail hours after a day of new impressions and inspiring conversations – felt like being in my own fairytale. I am so curios what will be the next tour and I can’t wait to join Nicola on her adventures.
Memories of a lifetime from a truely magical experience organised by Nicola! From the best food Italy has to offer, the best wines Italy has to offer in some of the most picturesque locations in Tuscany. I’m booking my next trip with Nicola for another wonderful Italian adventure! See you all there
My recent Florence experience with gorgeous Nicola was truly magical. Nicola curated a number of unique and memorable experiences that made this trip really special for me. I loved that all the special little details were taken care of and I could just enjoy each day and immerse myself in the beauty of Florence with all its art, history and fabulous cuisine. Thank you Nicola for a wonderful trip and I look forward to travelling with you again.
Nicola’s magic pudding: Take one palatial estate in the heart of the glorious Piemonte countryside and enjoy the warm embrace of its generous owners; carefully fold in various assorted and idiosyncratic foreigners ( orguests), and gently mix to a smooth consistency, adding, as you wish, copious amounts of art, history, music, laughter, local food, wine and negronis as (frequently) required. Sprinkle with regional curiosities and treasures, and finish with a liberal application of truffle, preferably black. This recipe provides wonderfully restorative nourishment for body and soul and its effects can be expected to last some weeks following consumption, which can be repeated on an annual basis. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
I first worked alongside Nicola nearly 15 years ago on a major launch for McDonald’s. Since then we’ve worked together on many major brands, always producing beautiful, stylish work. This sums up Nicola for me; you want to be where Nicola is (in the centre of what’s going on), because whatever that is, it will feel effortless and beautifully stylish.
Nicola’s Italian Experiences have the same feel. Her amazing contacts in Italy welcome you into their world and offer a personal and unique insight into Italian culture that will stay with me.
What a little gem was Nicola’s tour in Piemonte! A small tour of only ten people which enabled us to experience Piemonte at a personal, artisanal level.
Our accommodation for all five nights was at a grand palazzo in the countryside which was the family home of Francesca and Andrea Galleani d’Agliano. The comfortable bedrooms were furnished with ceiling frescoes and the family’s antique furniture and mementos. They had also been updated with private bathrooms. Being welcomed by the owners, Francesca and Andrea and enjoying our meals at their dining table made the tour very special and memorable.
Nicola included many different experiences in the tour to allow us a taste of what Piemonte offers – truffles with a truffle hunter and his dog, wine, with a wine tasting at a small family winery, cheese, with a visit to another small family run factory in the glorious Alps. There was also time to explore the local town of Cuneo and for the more active, a bike ride in the countryside. We were also treated to a lovely harp recital one evening at the palazzo by a young local harpist. Enjoying the amblence of an 18th century salon and sipping Prosecco while the music played, transported us to another, gentler world.
Nicola’s tour is not a mainstream tour – the accommodation could be seen as a little eccentric but it is unique and very comfortable. I wanted for nothing and was enamoured by the living history of this family palazzo. The outings were well spaced with free time to absorb and relax, and importantly the tour wasn’t too long so I was able to enjoy everything easily. All in all a small, perfectly formed gem, Highly recommended.
